Registry Title Protection

Registry Title Protection is a service that will offer real estate owners, for the first time, the peace of mind that comes from knowing that their real estate is protected and that no transactions will take place without their knowledge and authorization.

Private Property Registry audits an exact digital replica of the Public Property Registry daily and it send property owners an immediate alarm if any unauthorized transaction is attempted.

When a real estate owner subscribes to Registry Title Protection, a special power of attorney is issued allowing PPR to oppose any unauthorized annotation in the Public Registry. Fraudulent transactions are thus not registered and fraud is prevented.

In these cases, PPR offers legal advice to the real estate owner and his lawyer, if he or she decides to sue those responsible for the attempted fraud.

The elements of success

  1. It is preventive:

When a user subscribes to the PPR service, this constitutes an explicit public manifestation of his will not to give up his ownership rights, thus preventing real estate fraud.

To exercise this will, the PPR system performs a daily scan of a Public Registry’s mirror-database and verifies that no unauthorized transactions have been attempted.

  2. It is dissuasive:

The extra layer of protection offered by PPR dissuades criminal gangs from attempting real estate fraud. It even collaborates with the authorities in identifying and prosecuting such gangs.

  3. It is informative:

In case any attempt at a fraudulent transaction is detected, PPR immediately alerts the legitimate property owner.

Additionally, the general public has access to PPR's web page so that any interested party can verify if the property is protected or not and whether the transaction they are interested in can take place.

  4. It is reactive:
  5. If an anomaly is detected, PPR immediately files an opposition to the annotation, using the power of attorney issued to it by the real estate owner when he subscribes to the PPR services.

Additionally, PPR offers its clients support when a formal complaint is lodged with the authorities in the case of attempted fraud, in which case, the mere fact that the owner subscribed to PPR can be offered as a legal proof that the owner did not intend to sell his or her property.
